In this natural setting we weave a lasting magic

Guardians of the valley, our commitments

In the Vallée de la Loue, nature is not a backdrop: it’s an ally, an ancient guardian with whom we live in harmony. At Domaine La Roche d’Ully, every gesture and every choice reflects our deep commitment to preserving the beauty of the world and offering our guests a holiday that’s both authentic and responsible.

Here, sustainable development is not a promise, it’s a path we take every day – a path of common sense and respect. We aim for zero waste, limiting the use of resources, preserving our landscapes and giving a second life to everything we can.

Our selective sorting is reinforced, our catering is redesigned to generate less waste, and our partnerships with local associations enable us to extend the life of each resource.

At the grocery store, the majority of products are sourced locally and organically, with minimal packaging and low carbon impact. In this green setting, nothing is left to chance: every seed planted, every gesture made, speaks of our attachment to the Earth.

Water, the breath of life, preserving and reinventing the resource

The water of the Loue sings in our ears every morning, and it is to it that we owe the life of the estate. Aware of its value, we have signed the “Water Sobriety Plan” Charter of Commitment, supported by ADEME, to reduce our consumption by 10% by 2030.

Our taps are equipped with 6-liter/minute limiters, the water heaters in some rentals recover ambient heat, andrainwater feeds our gardens. Even in the sanitary facilities, a free, fast dishwasher helps preserve this precious resource. Every drop counts, and so does every gesture. In this way, water circulates, regenerates and is shared – like a promise between us and the valley.

Light and fire, towards energy autonomy

When night falls on the valley, the paths light up with a soft glow: that of solar lamps that are gradually replacing conventional lighting. LED bulbs, timed lighting in communal areas and wood-fired heating in the water park are all part of our quest for self-sufficiency.

Every season, we move towards cleaner, lighter, more respectful energy: electrical appliances are chosen for their low consumption, electric heaters are replaced by high-performance accumulators, and light now only shines where it’s needed. In this way, even the flame that heats the water in the pool becomes a symbol: that of controlled energy, of a friendly fire.

The spirit of the place, between respect, sharing and wonder

For a long time now, we’ve been banning the use of phytosanitary products. Here, nature grows freely, hedges flourish and wild flowers dance in the breeze. In partnership with FREDON and the French Ministry of Ecological Transition, we maintain the estate with respect for the living world.

Our shredded plants replace weedkillers, our fallow land renews the soil, and the Ligue de Protection des Oiseaux (LPO) watches over us. Bird and insect nesting boxes dot the pathways, like little fairy houses.

No chemicals are used for maintenance: ozonated water, vinegar and elbow grease are all that’s needed to keep the place sparkling. But beyond these gestures, it’s a state of mind: that of an estate on a human scale, warm and lively. Here, we cultivate well-being, conviviality, discovery and emotion. We marvel at a sunset, share a smile, simply recharge our batteries.
